Snapshots from my trip to China a few months ago. Everything was photographed with a 40mm pancake lens that I took with me during my travel.

I attended my friend Bi Yu’s birthday party this past weekend.  Since the party was near the beach, we decided to walk over to the beach and have some impromptu shoot, and I think we all were quite happy with the results.

I have been lucky to be assigned my very first Pro Basketball/NBA shoot on the baseline.  And it was Dallas Mavericks vs New York Knicks on March 6th of 2012.  At first it was overwhelming not knowing where to go and what to expect, but as game progresses, it’s getting better and better and you start to know when to shoot, when to switch your telephoto for your standard for that dunk shot.  It was absolutely a wonderful experience.

Did a collaboration with Dallas based string quartet Versa Strings.

Which remind me of a shoot I did couple years ago out in the wild…  The harp string actually vibrates when the wind blows through it, quite beautiful.

Sadly I only got a 50mm on a full frame with me that day, couldn’t get any closer, but you get the idea, fun to watch good’ol American traditional sport.

Tony just opened his bar about 3 month ago near Zhu Jiang Lu in Nanjing.  He sat and started chatting with us, it turns out that he was from the same high school as my cousin and her friend before he went to Australia for his college study.  What a coincidence!  Stop by his salon if you are ever in Nanjing.
